A little boy stood at the end of my bed last night and said "grandma...I can't sleep in the other bedroom."..I said "Josh ..would you like to sleep with me?" and he said "Sure!". He ran and grapped his stuffed animals and blanket and jumped up on the bed and cuddled in...In minutes he was asleep. About 10 minutes later, a little miss appeared at the doorway and said..."grandma, I was just checking on Joshua"...I said ."Victoria, would you like to join us...and within 2 seconds there were three of us in the bed and almost immediately sound asleep. During the night I woke up many times just enjoying the opportunity of knowing the love of "the littles". Grandpa had the choice of a REALLY crowded bed with us...or sleeping by himself in the other room...Guess which he chose??LOL
Joshua sleeps cuddled up all night and if you move, his arm goes right around my neck.....I wouldn't miss these moments for anything...Today I am "THANKFUL" for my precious grandchildren..how they are growing and how they laugh and love so perfectly..the trust they have in us and the sparkle in their eyes. Thank you Lord for the gift of family. As the psalmist says...there is no greater joy than to see my children walking in the Lord. I AM THANKFUL.

P.S. If I am limping today I forgot to tell you we took them bowling last night. Larry and I haven't bowled in about 10 years....and oh yes..it was ROCK AND BOWL night...like in the dark with strobe lights beaming in constant circles.....but did we have fun.....OH YES!!!We hadn't been to the bowling alley since it was all computerized and you no longer have to keep your own score!

Well. if there is a break in this blog it is because I really don't know what I am doing yet...so please stay with me.....LOL...all of a sudden I realized I had hit the publish post button but I really wasn't finished......so here is the rest of the quote.....I wish I could write like this myself!!!

The first time He tends to come suddenly. After that, you may encounter Him unexpectedly as you earnestly chase Him and seek His face. Prepare a place of hunger, desire, worship and praise for Him and invite Him to turn aside and dwell with you.."What do You want Lord? How can we bless and host You tonight?
"Father , I'm determined to walk carefully while carrying the hot deposit You have poured into my life. Your presence is too precious to be wasted or lost through careless handling. Holy Spirit, help me hear Your still small voice and sense Your gentle tap on my shoulder. Give me ears to hear and eyes to see what You have for me. Then teach me how to carry heaven's "hot coffee", the holy deposit of God's manifest presence, from glory to glory and into the wounded world of the lost in Jesus' name.
God is good...ALL the time!

Today I am THANKFUL for recovery of my grandson Joshua after a nasty bump at school and a scary night with cat scan and all at emerg. I am also thankful today for days to celebrate and this weekend our kids celebrate their anniversary. God bless you Rob and Michelle...Love you lots and tomorrow night we get the kids...Victoria and Josh overnight....I love memory makers!!!
Sometimes you just have to laugh!!!!After spilling a complete cup of coffee over the kitchen counter this week..I said Thank you Lord...It didn't go on the floor or on me. I don't know how I was so clumsy but I refilled the cup and went outside to have some devotional time with the Lord. I opend the book I was reading Experiencing His Presence by Thomas Tenney and the title of this day's study was "Do you know how to carry heaven's hot coffee?"...
God is amazing!!! I just laughed out loud again...it was like HE was sitting down beside me.

This now is a quote from that day..
"How do you carry the fresh encounter of God in your inward vessel? How does a church body guard the divine deposit from one worship experience to the next?
Walk carefully and be aware of His every movement in your heart..whether you are driving your car, leading worship, preaching a sermon, or bathing your baby, if you feel Him softly tap your shoulder, then "fold up the letter" and turn to look into His face. When He invades your empty space of hunger, turn to meet Him in your spirit. Answer His gentle summons as the young man Samuel did: he tentatively called out into the darkness of his empty room, "Speak, for You servant hears".
